Communication is one of the oldest and most important social processes. Nowadays, it is impossible to imagine societies whose members do not communicate with each other. Therefore, many researchers agree that the existence of society is based on the communication processes.

Communication is a social process because its participants are always members of the society. That is why one speaks of social communication as the broadest set of communication processes of individuals and groups. In other words, communication is the process of individuals, groups or institutions coming together to exchange ideas, share knowledge or information. This process takes place on various levels, using various means, and produces specific effects. This document describes this competence and it is material for the VET UP training sessions.

Here follows the eBook used as a guide for this VET UP module in the different languages of the project. They include all the information in relation to this topic.
